What you get

A diagnostic, not a pep talk.

Fifteen scores, each justified

Every block is scored 1–5 on its own merits, with the evaluator's reasoning — and the exact phrase from your answers quoted as evidence.

A verdict, not an average

Passing means every block at 3 or above, every pillar at 12 or above, and the three critical blocks — Revenue, Policies, Legal — clear of red flags. Anything less is “not yet viable”, whatever the total.

Rebut and re-score

Disagree with a score? Add the missing evidence and that block alone is re-scored. Claims without evidence still cap at 3 — you can't talk your way to a 5.

How it works

01~10 minutes

Describe your venture

Six structured prompts in plain prose — customers and revenue, technology and partners, operations, regulatory context.

Get a strict reading

An evaluator trained on Prof. Maalaoui's rubric scores all fifteen blocks independently and flags every critical block that falls short.

Fix what's named, iterate

Address the red flags, add the missing evidence, and re-score a single block. Both versions are preserved.

The catchClaims without evidence still cap at 3. You can't talk it into a 5.

No strength hides a weakness.

Conventional canvases produce a pleasant total that hides where a venture will actually break. This framework refuses to average: a 5 on Revenue does not save a 1 on Regulations.

3/5

Block threshold

Each of the 15 blocks must reach 3 of 5 — independently.

12/25

Pillar threshold

Each of the 3 pillars must reach 12 of 25. No pillar carries another.

3

Critical blocks

Revenue, Policies, Legal — below threshold, the verdict is “not yet viable”, regardless of total.

The framework

Built where complex regulation meets cultural specificity.

The Innovative Business Model Canvas for a Changing World extends the classic Osterwalder canvas with a third pillar — Contextual & Regulatory Ecosystem — built for entrepreneurs operating in regulated, culturally diverse markets worldwide, where regulation, legitimacy, and impact are non-optional.

The framework is the work of Prof. Adnan Maalaoui at MBSC, where it is taught for both startup and corporate-venture education. This tool is its faithful, AI-assisted application — not a substitute for the framework, an instrument for it.
